This post will help you set up RStudio Cloud for the UTSA-GenAI workshop to be held on February 14, 2020. In the workshop I will show you a lesson that involved topic modeling on Amazon.com product reviews using Latent Dirichlet Allocation. The lesson requires a code file, a data file, and a word list. I have set up a R project on RStudio Cloud, which you can start working on right away by following the instructions below.
Visit RStudio Cloud website: https://rstudio.cloud/
If you never used RStudio Cloud or Shinyapps.io before, please sign up for a free account. You have 3 options for signing up:
- Sign up using an email and create a password.
- Use a Google service (e.g., Gmail) to sign up.
- Use your GitHub account to sign up.
If you already have RStudio Cloud or Shinyapps.io credentials then log in using those credentials.
Once you sign up / log in, you should be able to see the following screen.
Copy this URL and paste it in the browser: https://rstudio.cloud/project/328640
This is my project URL. If you are logged in, you should be able to see the following screen:
It will take some time to load when you launch it.
Once the project loads, you should be able to see the screen below. Click on the file titled “2020-02-14-lda.Rmd” from the “Files” pane in the bottom right corner. I have put a red box around the file in this image.
After you click on the file, it will open and you should see the following screen.
That’s it! We will take it from here in the workshop. If you are familiar with R, feel free to play around with this file.
